Usually you can find several Justice live/mixtapes on the web, but just recently I took a listen to this particular live mix for Dior Homme Spring Summer '09 collection and even though it's very short (15 min.) it has that amazing Justice sound. What I found most interesting about this mix is that it might be a preview of nu tracks on the works, hopefully more info will soon surface, check it out kidz!
First of all I want to truly thank everyone who attended and supported the first Nu Kidz party @ Topaz Deluxe (Monterrey). Oktavio played great tunes and had us dancin' our shoes off all night, crowd also went frenzy for all the CD's and PAGE magazines we handed out. Special thanks to El Robot TV the official digital paparazzi for the Nu Kidz party. Hopefully we can throw another party by the end of August, so stay tuned for details and more special surprises. Once again, thanks.. for those who missed out here's the set handed out at the party!
Hey kidz, so I just got these first Nu Kidz logo submissions from Natalie. I'm really glad to have this response since without your help this would seem almost impossible for me. Let me know what you think about these logos, after we have a couple other submissions I will post a poll for you kidz to vote for the one u like the most! Thanks!

SebastiAn of Ed Banger Records comes out with this nu album containing 17 of his most popular remixes, expected to be released on September 1st. Curiously there's one nu remix circulating around the web that will not make it on the album its his remix of The Who’s Baba O’Riley. I think this suffices as my nu remix/retro track of the week all in one, it's a nice party tune that works everytime!
Tracklist: 01. Intro 02. Revl9n - Walking Machines 03. Daft Punk - Human After All 04. Mylo - Paris 400 05. The Rapture - Get Myself Into It 06. Editors - Camera 07. The Rakes - We Dance Together 08. Kelis - Bossy 09. The Kills - Cheap & Cheerful 10. Kavinsky - Testarossa Autodrive 11. Benjamin Theves - Texas 12. Das Pop - Fool For Love 13. Bloc Party - Still Remember 14. Sebastien Tellier - Sexual Sportswear 15. Klaxons - Golden Skans 16. Annie - Happy With You 17. Nadiya - Tous Ces Mots
My old skool friend Tony Tee just gave insight on 2 nu Tijuana kidz bangin' out great tunes! The duo is called Kry-lon and the noise is just awesome, "Virtual Vice" is laced with a lot of dirrty beats and synths which truly love. This nu generation of border "in your face" talent is quite amazing, it's right on the edge of danceable insanity and serotonin heaven.. give me moreee!
My fellow blog mate and hometown friend Oktavio PD just posted this nu mixtape for your ears pleasure. I'm really hyped to let you all know that Nu Kidz will be having its first blog party at TOPAZ deluxe in Monterrey (July 25th), the great news is Oktavio PD will be playing! Be sure to check him out, the kidz got skills!
Here's a fresh nu remix from my good TJ friends Loudnoises, this time working on Monterrey based Quiero Club's track called Showtime. It's starts off in banger mode then it slowly transcends into a nice dopamine filled electro melody, they're already working on some other nu remixes so stay tuned for more great musik from the LN kidz!
Two greats, one track, one remix.. Oh good times! I found this rare track, had a listen and thought it was just fantastic. Couldn't expect more when you got so much talent all in one, on one side you got Kavinsky's retro synths and on the other you got M.I.A.'s lyrics all with an extra touch of A-Track.. perfect to start the weekend yeah!
It's been a while since I post a retro track on here and nothing better comes to mind than "Blinded By The Light" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band. There's something about this song that gets me so f@$%in' hyped every time I listen to it, I get visual flashbacks from the movie Blow just when they hit the big time, it's like that feeling you get when your just about to party!
So far surfin' the web this week I have found 2 nu remixes of Sébastien Tellier's songs, the original tracks are great but it seems people just can't stop tweeking them for fun, the results are awesome enjoyable tunes to keep u going!
Even though this is not the most recent news I couldn't avoid the excitement to post it, an In The Mix exclusive interview with Busy P gets info of a new upcoming Daft Punk album in the works, as it says.. imagine the possibilities!
"Yes, you read that headline correct! After annihilating Australian audiences late last year on the NeverEverLand tour, everybody’s favourite French robots are finally settling down to record more music. ITM got the scoop from someone who would know – their manager for the past 12 years Busy P! Otherwise known as Pedro Winter – the owner of the notorious Ed Banger Records – he was chatting to inthemix about his label’s brand new compilation Ed Rec Vol III when he dropped the bomb on Daft Punk’s studio plans.
“The boys are in a studio in Paris at the moment,” he revealed to ITM. “And I can’t wait to listen to their new stuff! The good thing is that they are making music at the moment.” While those creative juices are flowing again, it’s not known at this stage when the new album might see the light of day. “They are slow, you know,” Busy P laughed when asked. “They are taking their time, and they have a right.”
Busy P also revealed that he recently decided to step down from the massive task of managing Daft Punk in order to allow him to focus all his energies on the Ed Banger record label. “I’ve stopped working with them really recently, because I want to focus and concentrate on Ed Banger and my artists, and my own career as Busy P.” But after managing Daft Punk for 12 years, it’s a safe bet that the relationship will continue to be a tight one.
So what sort of sound will we be hearing from Daft Punk? Their last studio release was 2005’s Human After All, for which the duo received something of a critical flogging. It led many to declare them as ‘done and dusted’, but before long they smashed back with their world-beating live show, debuted at Coachella in 2006. Who knows: maybe we’ll be treated to something as massive and influential as their debut Homework and its flawless follow-up Discovery? The possibilities are endless."
Here is a '96 old skool vid form one of the Daft Punk kidz, check it out!
Van She is still making lots of noise with their new upcoming album, several remixes have already come out as previously posted here on Nu Kidz, so far my favorite is Yuksek remix of Strangers. Now they bring us a Mixtape including some of their new tracks and remixes full of that Aussie synth love to make you dance!
Hey Kidz, I've been wanting to get an official Nu Kidz logo for a while, but since I'm not a graphic designer my idea is to reach out to all you readers out there and see if someone comes up with something nice, simple and original. So if your one of the Nu Kidz and want to help out, send your ideas or sketches to me and I will post them and submit them for you guys to vote for the best, sounds fair? All comments and suggestions are welcome, thanks!
Redial finally comes out with its debut album Ghost on July 5th. As previously posted here on Nu Kidz, this Aussie talent brings a whole nu different sound to the table, fun synths, creepy organs and lots of audio glam. The album itself should get Redial lots of well deserved attention to be one of the greats, so don't forget to Redial next time he's in town!
Mr. Johnny Love and Filip Turbotito a.k.a. Guns N' Bombs come out on Fader with their Mixtape #4 recorded live at the Apollo. Intense from beginning to end GNB bring out their best in these series of mixtapes, be sure to check them out live since they usually get crowd goers out of breath before they can say.. Oh Yes!
