Consistently Inconsistent

Whats up peeps, here is yet another apology for not posting. So how about this time we take it slow and not make any big promise. In case you have been wondering what I've been up to, besides being a Daddy, I have decided to start making music! I recently decided to take a stab putting a mix with samples supplied from the WeMixSeries Forum, which they liked very much that they decided to promo it on one of their sublabels Yespring House! It is a groove driven electro track with a grimey bassline and punchy drums. Go ahead and take a listen below and if you like it enough help yourself to it via the link under the picture. I've got a few things inprogress so keep an ear out. Oh by the way I also have a new myspace page that is dedicated to my productions, add me up myspace music and if your on SoundCloud follow me here.

Up to the date!

Long time no see! No hear! The stuff I'm bringing to you this time is classy, ghetto and druggie... what??? how could that be??? Well, they're just three different songs.

First song's remixed by Allure... this french dude is doing some really elegant producing and he cheerfully layed this track on myspace... it's a tribute remix to THE Mr. Michael Jackson, thing we got late on doing also, so here's the "sorry" reward!

Remember the Time (Allure Remix) - Michael Jackson

Next, it's my latest remix on Big Dope P's "Southside Anthem". This I can only give you a full preview no download because the remix will be released on french Moveltraxx label so y'all be able to buy it in no time. It's definitely ghetto, and it's definitely party! Doppie thought it was jackin' house, sort of what MSTRKRFT and other really energetic dudes play live. So... give your opinion. Listen to Big Dope P's original track on his latest Ep, Dirty Geto Traxxx Vol. 1 and stay tuned for more Beski music.

Southside Anthem (Beski Remix) by Beski (Les Coqbloqs)

Last but not least is my man Data Decay. He's a dude from Washington giving it a nice ride on his "Gimme my drugs" track. Leave it to the professionals, don't attempt this at home ;)

DAT Politics

Last years performance of DAT Politics was completley amazing, if for some reason you have lived under a rock or simply just couldn't make it, you now have a second chance to be witness of one of the best live shows in our Nu Kidz opinion. They're back this year to Monterrey promoting their latest album called "Mad Kit", here's a taste from on their new track "Freak Me Out", it has all that interesting fun and electro punch feel to get real sweaty!

Emprie of the Sun - Remixes

Once again I apologize for slacking and not updating the Nu Kidz blog, the good news though is I'm getting much more playtime around the Monterrey area, so I've worked up a nice selection of tracks that will be sharing with you kidz here. Now for the tracks.. you may well all be aware of Empire of the Sun, but these two remixes really work for me and give it a more danceable approach sound that I've come to enjoy, Danger and Shazam are Nu Kidz favorites, so there's really not much to say but take a listen and see for yourself!

Surkin @ Aura (Monterrey)

One word, amazing! Surkin for the first time in Monterrey playing Aura on Saturday, April 25. Surkin is part of the famous Institubes Paris based label along artists like Para One and Orgasmic, well recognized for his skillz and track selection this is the event Nu Kidz has been waiting for, enough with the words listen to the beats!

The Juan Mclean - One Day (Surkin Remix)

Since this is a long week for most kidz in Mexico and the US, here's a rare enjoyable 80's Italo Disco track called "Extra Terrestrial (E.T.)" by Canadian artist Donna Rhodes, it's a jumpy synth happy song with that futuristic feel of the past, also love the way she prounounces extra-terrestrial in the chorus, great for roadtrips!

Donna Rhodes - Extra Terrestrial (E.T.)

And as a bouns track here's the latest Justice remix of "Get On Your Boots" from U2. I'm actually not a post-Achtung Baby U2 fan but Justice kinda completely destroyed the track and just kept Bono's vocals in the back along with their signature heavy basslines, so the remix is not bad at all.. I just wouldn't play it on the dancefloor!

U2 - Get On Your Boots (Justice Remix)

Enjoy the long weekend kidz!

The Legend Continues!

Wow check this out kidz, HardPop made it as new entry in DJmag's Top 100 Clubs for 2009. Coming in at number 32, HadrPop is really something to brag about. Juarez (a.k.a. Warez) is not only my hometown but one of the best electronic music scenes in the world, having one of the best clubs in the world not only proves what I'm saying it amplifies it and keeps Juarez on the map with some good news.. a well deserved congratulations to all the HardPop team, thanks for all the great times and more to come!

Squeeze My Lemons?

SQZMYLMNS is the acronym used by my good TJ/SD talented friends and that bunch of letters are becoming very recurrent here at Nu Kidz and various other great blogs. They just released a new mixtape called "Freshly Squeezed" and the name says it all, it has serious fresh new basslines and enough beats to make you love their sound, now stop reading and download this noow!!

SQZMYLMNS - Freshly Squeezed Mixtape

Tracklist:
All Leather - Adios Mi Amoebas (Sqzmylmns Remix)
Chuckie - Let the Bass Kick (Silvio Ecomo Remix)
Kid Kaio - We Don't Give a
Bingo Players - Chop
Jesse Rose - Touch My Horn
Matiksoul - Run For Cover
Crookers - Gypsy P
Ramon Tapia - Mi Esposa
Alvaro - Make it Funky
Crookers vs Khia - My Neck My Knobb (Sqzmylmns Smashup)
Samim - Heater

Now for the great part, SQZMYLMNS has a new track release called "Alarma 2009", starts of with a simple snare and drum and then slowly progresses to complex vacuum and alarm sounds, warning the sound might alarm you!

The Twelves and Beski for Nu Kidz

First of all, big thanks to Mr. Easy for inviting me (Beski) to collaborate with the Nu Kidz blog! I won't be around that often but I will sure give you quality each time I'm here. The time thing is cuz I'm a DJ and producer so... pretty much you get the point.

So let's go straight to the bottom line. Good music. For my first blog I didn't know who to talk about, 'til I saw the next remix on my library. It's from the The Twelves, a Brazilian duo who I think are making stylish seem old-fashioned... which is impossible! So check this track out!

Drop The Tough (The Twelves B-LIVE Remix) - Groove Armada

And wait... there's more good music. Actually, thanks to this blog I've realized I have actually mixed these Brazilians on my latest mixtapes, so to show you what I do here's my latest promo 20 min. minimix which I have to say is really fantastic (I'm being sincere not cocky) and gives you another taste of these guys from Rio!

Spring 2009 Minimix by Beski

And if you liked my stuff... well, visit MySpace! There's more good music and also new videos from my latest performance at the Boys Noize After Party in Baja. So... I hope to make you dance soon!

Cheers!

Guess who's back?

Apart from me getting back on the blog, Danger has just announced a new album called EP 2. Since the beginning of Nu Kidz blog we've posted a lot of Danger's awesome material, the sound always makes me feel like I'm taking a journey into this fast paced 8 bit world where analog creatures roam around, want to take a ride?

Danger - 88h88 (Stage 3 The Club Remix)

And due to my absence here's a bonus track, a remix from The Teenagers of "1901" new single by Phoenix to get yourself motivated through the week, friday is always around the corner so start warming up kidz, part of the weekend never dies!

Return of the Tak....

Alrighty internet is back up, but before we plunge into the tunes, the image above is a t-shirt that is for sale at Threadless They have some amusing tees, so Ill be posting up some of the prints.

Alright so since I havent posted in a minute Im gonna hit ya off with a wad of tasters and tracks.

First off is what in my opinion a brilliant producer, Zodiac Cartel.
This jam is set to be released on April 20th on U&A Recordings. This tune to me is a housey fidget sound. Zodi dont play that!

We Don`t Play That [TASTER] by Zodiac Cartel

This remix is set to be realeased on Calvertron's label"Jack Knife" early March/April. This one is a darker tune with a tech flavor to it, more on the usual Cartel sound we all know and adore.

Calvertron - Doggy Style (Zodiac Cartel Mix) [TASTER] by Zodiac Cartel

This next taster is from Guido van Santen formerly known as the "The Fidgitive". This remix has an awesome old school flavor in the breakdown almost freestyle. The vocal is editing makes this tune makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

Allard Whitehead - Sound of Silence (Guido van Santen Remix) myspace cut by thefidgitive

Mr. G to the V S has a new EP that just dropped on the 12th of this month titled "Body Shaker" released on Peak Hour Music/Swag Factory. Below is a remix by Jaimie Fanatic of "What The Oh"

Guido van Santen - What The Oh (Jaimie Fanatic Oh Shit remix) cut by thefidgitive

This is the original mix of "What the Oh"

Guido van Santen - What The Oh! cut by thefidgitive

Now this remix is as tough as they get! It has a kick ass acid trip on the breakdown. This is already released on Lektroluv there is also a Bloody Beetroots remix out.

Sound Of Stereo - Heads Up (Mightyfools Remix) by Mightyfools

Here is a crazy video of Bloc Party's "Signs" remixed by Armand Van Helden.

La Tempestad by Nu Kidz

MSTRKRFT (pronunciado “master-kraft”) es una agrupación de música electrónica originaria de Canadá conformada por Jesse F. Keeler (a.k.a. JFK) y Alex Puodziukas (a.k.a. ALP).

Cool Boots!

Checking my electronic mail today, I received a pleasant surpise from my PD bro Ryk PD. His mixtapes always have a a great selection of tunes and spot on mixing. This mix is no less, dark and dubby in my opinion. Ryk is also a rare breed, a breed that does not narrow his vision on playing one style music. We have shared the booth with some electro and rock sets. Enjoy winter all year long with mix.

Ten Cold Commandments

One of my favorite em-cees, was the late Christopher Wallace aka Notorious B.I.G. With the recent release of his biography on the big screen, this remix arised. It is done by Cold Bank from Hollywood, CA. This duo is made up of Mr. Gaspar and Big Na$ty. Mr Na$ty has made an appearance here before when I posted up a mixtape and his remix of 2Pac's "California Love".
What I dig the most of this tune is when the original is dropped at minute two. Rest assured I'll be dropping this in my sets, NO DOUBT!

Fresh Kicks

The last post of last year was during Border Noise 3, which was an insane weekend, fun times as always, cant wait for this year. Amongst the aritsts that came to rock J-town Marine Parade label boss Adam Freeland. On our drive into the city of murder from the El Paso airport I mentioned to him how much I wanted a pair of the Marine Parade Etnies that came out some years back. Adam being the cool guy that he is sent me over a pair which I just got last week. These are some really snug tennis I must say! Along with footwear, which came wrapped in a Evil Nine "They Live!" poster, was copy of what seems to be Adam Freeland's new promo cd titled "Two Hours to Jupiter". Im waiting for Adam's ok, to post, hopefully I get the green light. However if you can't wait it is available at Marine Parade with the purchase of 10 pounds or more.

Since we are on the subject of footwear, this can lead into the remix by Heavyfeet of Elite Force's "Here Come the Flow". Now this song just got released on the 22nd of December on Ef's label Used and Abused, but I had gotten the sampler a few months back, but since I was in hiatus, Im a bit late on sharing it with ya. If you got it good for you, if then this is something you might be interested in picking up.
Here Come The Flow (HeavyFeet Remix) by Elite Force

Here is Gella's break version too, haven' heard breaks like this in awhile.

2009 Nu Musik from TJ/SD

My good TJ/SD friends just hit my email with a couple of new remixes to start of this new year 2009, so off we go starting a great new year..

First off, we have Harvard Bass remix of "DJ Orgasmic & Teki Latex - Sixpack Anthem" out on Institubes record label. Harvard Bass is regular post material here at Nu Kidz and this time he's steppin' up with his own work, getting much well deserved attention from non-other than Institubes, what more can I say it's an excellent way to start of 2009!

DJ Orgasmic & Teki Latex - Sixpack Anthem (Harvard Bass Remix)

Second, we have Krylon up with a new remix called "Hoes Get Down", these young kidz first caught our attention with their awesome "Virtual Vice" track previously posted here at Nu Kidz, they might be young but they sure know how to tweek those filters to get astonishing bass results, oh want more to come!

High Powered Boys - Hoes Get Down (Krylon Remix)
